The Occam 2 toolset is a set of software tools for developing transputer programs on host systems. Used with the Occam libraries, it provides a complete environment for developing programs on transputers and transputer networks.
DECmpp Sx Programming Language (MPL) is one of the languages used to write programs that run on the DECmpp 12000/Sx parallel processing system. The DECmpp Sx MPL is based on ANSI C, with extensions that allow data parallel programming. The DECmpp Sx Parallel Programming Environment (MPPE) includes tools to compile and analyze user's programs. The MPPE tools include compilers, debuggers, Visualizers, profilers.
The Network Linda System enable users to unlock easily and cost-effectively the computer power. The C-Linda programming language allows portable parallel programs to be written using conventional C language. Linda programs execute on a wide range of existing multiprocessor and uniprocessor machines. Linda presents an architecturally independent view of a multiprocessor machine allowing the same code to be compiled for distributed memory machines with shared memory architecture.
Network Linda can be run on homogenoeus collections of these systems and on most hetergeneous collections subject to minor restriction on the representation of data stored in tuple space. Sun workstations, for example, can be mixed with IBM RS 6000 or Apollo workstations (or both) on a single network. Currently, however, the DECstations cannot be mixed with the others in a heterogenoeus Network Linda System.
Debugging facilities include the unique Tuplescope which provides an interactive graphical interface to tuple space.
